The Often Misquoted Bible verses series and Bible Study Plans

Updated: Apr 23

There is beauty in simplicity.
There is beauty in simplicity.

I have been so focused on preparing for the next group of mentorship that I missed my posting schedule. I know I should have scheduled a post and I did but the Holy Spirit had me delete it before I could publish it. I'm not sure if there's ever going to be the right time for it or not but I will obey Him anytime :). But it kind of threw me off the schedule and maybe that was the reason I had to delete it. I may have gotten too fixated on "doing the right thing" instead of following the leading of the Holy Spirit.

I have good news though. We are going back to doing bible studies. We haven't done any since the migration to this website. I will have the bible study challenge ready by end of this week. This is how it's going to work this time around: I will do an overview of the whole book (unless it is too long) but we will start with the shorter ones, including the epistles and letters, and I know for sure that Jude has to be somewhere at the beginning to help some of us. I will then take a chapter each week or more than one for shorter books but I will not do all the chapters of all the books in the bible. I will start with those chapters that seem a bit difficult to understand for many. I will break them down and then you will be able to continue on your own. The aim is to teach you how to do bible study. Most women believe studying the bible isn't for everyone. They believe it is only for those who preach or teach but we will look into this next time. I will share with you the method of study that has helped me grow in understanding the word of God. By the end of this series, we will all be able to understand and enjoy reading our bibles.

I will also be taking a deep dive into the often misquoted bible verses and I will try to explain how/why they are misquoted and will give their correct meaning and context. This will be too exciting. I love the word of God and spending hours studying it is the best investment anyone can do. You will be allowed to ask questions whether in the comments or you can even email/text them. Honestly, I never imagined I would be so excited about teaching God's word. I remember my mentor in the school of ministry that I went to; she told me I would teach the word of God but I just laughed at her :). And here we are, few years later.

Another exciting thing that is coming is a teaching on how to build an effective prayer life. It is saddening to see how many people don't take prayer seriously. Prayer is more important than anything you will ever do in the name of Christianity. It is more important than your ministry, your job and even your family. Having a non existent prayer life is just asking for trouble. I will also compile a short e-book titled How to build an effective prayer life. This will be sent with newsletters to our subscribers. It won't be long and it will only have the main points and you can build on it. I will also share some prayers so that you can learn if you feel like you cannot pray even though praying is just basically having a dialogue with God. I may even record audios if the Lord wills it.

We are having our quarterly fasting and prayer in April. Please read the fasting and prayer post. More details are coming. Join us in petitioning God for our families, ourselves, the Church, our communities, our countries and the world in general. You don't want to miss this! God always comes through during these periods. Please consider joining us. You will be praying where you are but our hearts will be one. Prayer points are coming and you can send your prayer requests via the prayer requests form or via WhatsApp. Hope to 'see' you there, well, in the spirit :)

Grace and Peace.
