There is a reality I want you to grasp today: God is not far off. He is not merely watching from heaven. He is with you right now, right where you are. And He longs for you to live in His presence every single day.
So many of us go through our lives thinking we have to chase Him, that we have to perform, to be “good enough” to feel His nearness. But let me tell you, His presence is invited, welcomed, and received. You don't need to earn it.
1. Begin with the Awareness of His Presence
Before anything else, you must recognise that He is there. Before you speak, pray, or do anything, whisper to your heart: “God is here. He is with me. I am not alone.”
Psalm 139:7–10 says it so beautifully: “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.”
He is there! And the moment you recognise it, the atmosphere around you begins to shift. Peace begins to settle. Joy begins to rise. You are no longer operating from striving, you are resting in Him.
2. Begin Your Day in Communion
So often, we start our mornings with tasks, phones, and endless lists. But the first act of living in God’s presence is communion.
Before the day begins, enter His presence in prayer and praise.
Speak to Him as a friend, a Father. Tell Him your fears, your needs, your dreams.
Listen. Even a quiet heartbeat can carry His voice if you are still enough to hear.
I want you to know that the atmosphere of heaven is accessible in the simplest moment of sincere conversation with Him.
3. Walk Through Your Day with His Awareness
Living in God’s presence is not just in prayer; it is in every step, every choice, every interaction.
When a trial comes, whisper: “God is with me in this moment.”
When someone offends or discourages you, remember: “His love surrounds me. His Spirit empowers me.”
When joy comes, say: “Thank You, Lord, for this moment of Your goodness.”
To live in His presence is to live with eyes open to His nearness and to see everything through His lens. It transforms mundane moments into holy encounters.
4. Invite the Holy Spirit to Guide You
It’s the Holy Spirit that makes the presence of God real. Don’t try to manufacture miracles or feelings, simply invite Him to fill your moments.
Ask the Spirit to speak, guide, and remind you of God’s promises.
Let Him soften your heart when you feel resistant, angry, or weary.
Allow Him to turn ordinary spaces into altars, ordinary conversations into ministry.
His presence is a constant companion when you yield to His Spirit instead of striving with your own understanding.
5. Live Expectantly
God loves to show up. He loves to move. He delights in surprising you with His grace, healing, and provision.
Hebrews 4:16 reminds us: “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
Expect Him! Speak His promises over your day. Watch for Him in ordinary places. Laugh, sing, pray, worship. Let expectancy open your life to the extraordinary.
6. Rest in His Presence at Day’s End
Don’t wait for tomorrow to reconnect. At night, review your day with Him:
Thank Him for moments you noticed Him.
Confess where you failed to acknowledge His presence.
Surrender your sleep to Him, trusting that He will continue to guard your heart and mind.
Living in God’s presence daily is practice, invitation, and intimacy.
Reflection
God is not a distant idea or a Sunday-only encounter. He is here, in your work, in your rest, in your relationships, in your waiting. Every day, He offers you a choice: to live in distraction, or to live in His presence.
I challenge you today: don’t let another day go by simply “knowing about God.” Choose to experience Him, to walk with Him, to let His presence saturate every moment.
Begin tomorrow morning with five minutes of intentional communion - talk, listen, and worship.
Whisper reminders of God’s presence throughout your day: “He is with me.”
At night, journal how His presence moved in your day. Look for miracles, peace, and guidance.
I pray that you will walk daily with the tangible, glorious awareness of God’s presence. That you will know Him, trust Him, and let His Spirit transform you from the inside out.
Grace and peace.
