You do not seek and provide for yourself. You seek and God adds. The two activities operate on entirely different tracks. Your movement is toward the Kingdom. Provision becomes the overflow, not the object of your pursuit. This is the inversion Jesus is after. The crowds were anxious about food, clothing, and the future.
